Dr Jeff Green

Dr Jeff Green

Expedition Team Medical Specialist

Jeff grew up in London where he qualified as a doctor in 1983, but after his general practice training, he soon headed south where he worked for 20 years as a family doctor in a small town on the east coast of New Zealand.

Jeff has spent the last ten years of his career working in remote and rural locations in Australia and around the world. In Australia, he has worked all over the country, doing everything from working with local Indigenous communities and the Royal Flying Doctor Service to running small town hospitals.

In the vicinity of Australia, Jeff worked through the Indian Ocean, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Micronesia, but his medical practice has also taken him from the Shetlands in Scotland to the Falklands in the South Atlantic. It was five years ago, while working on the Falklands, that Jeff first got an opportunity to start doctoring down in Antarctica, and he has been heading back every season since.

Jeff still calls New Zealand East Coast home, where he lives with his wife and three children.
